We know sometimes specific parks have very unique needs. We aim to support in the ways that are most important and beneficial to each park. Below are some projects that our TN State Parks and their Friends groups have requested assistance with. Do you have an idea for a park that is meaningful to you? We want to hear from you!
Harrison Bay Eagle Program
TN State Parks with limited funding will have special projects that we will help fill the gap for. Harrison Bay State Park had an Eagle Cam project that we helped to support to use for educational purposes and interpretive programming.
Mack Prichard Legacy Exhibit
Mack Prichard worked for Tennessee State Parks for over 50 years. He was a tireless advocate for the preservation of landscapes and stories. To honor his memory and inspire the next generation of conservationists, we are working to create a mobile exhibit about his life. This exhibit will display objects Mack used to inspire the protection and preservation of Tennessee’s essential places. It will also feature Mack’s photographs and incorporate text elements composed by people who knew him best. The exhibition will travel among Tennessee’s parks to ensure that as many people see the exhibit as possible. Many of these are places that Mack’s efforts had a hand in preserving.
