Projects and Programs

TSPC supports projects and programs that span multiple parks. We help fill in the gaps for Tennessee parks that don’t have a Friends group, and work in alliance with those that do. We work to support educational programs, health initiatives and special park projects that preserve, protect and enhance the 57 state parks across Tennessee.

Since 1937

From its beginning in 1937, Tennessee State Parks were established to preserve and protect the unique natural, cultural and historic resources of Tennessee. The public interest has also been served by a variety of benefits for citizens and communities produced by our state park system, promoting stronger communities and healthier citizens across the state through diverse resource-based recreation while conserving the natural environment for today and tomorrow – preserving authentic Tennessee places and spaces for future generations to enjoy.

Show your support for our state parks by becoming a member of the Tennessee State Parks Conservancy. Members play a vital role in making sure parks are accessible to all, have valuable programming and have support for improvements and enhancements. Our members ensure all park guests have a great time in our gorgeous state. We are grateful for our members!
