Run for the Trees: The Bob Ross Happy Little 5K Comes to Tennessee

Get ready to lace up your running shoes for a good cause! The Bob Ross Happy Little 5K: Run for the Trees is back, and Tennessee State Parks Conservancy is proud to sponsor this exciting event supporting Tennessee’s beautiful state parks.

This virtual 5K invites participants to run, walk, or hike at their own pace, anywhere they choose, between April 22-26, 2025. Whether you hit the trails at your favorite state park. Or, stroll through your neighborhood; every step supports reforestation efforts and tree-planting projects in Tennessee State Parks.

Participants will receive a commemorative race packet featuring a Bob Ross-themed T-shirt, a keepsake bib, and a finisher’s medal. It’s the perfect way to celebrate your love for the outdoors while honoring the iconic artist’s passion for nature. Plus, you’ll be helping to preserve Tennessee’s natural beauty for future generations.

Funds raised through the Tennessee run will benefit state parks. Additionally, they will support tree planting and habitat restoration projects in parks and natural areas.
